Arlo has had a very rough start to life, experiencing some of the worst kind of neglect. Despite all that he has encountered he is very eager to learn and making great progress with his training. He knows sit and walks very well on lead. 

Arlo is social with other dogs, loves people and is slowly building his confidence. 

Given his neglect we are still working with Arlo to master toilet training and to ease his enthusiasm to jump up on you!

Naturally, Arlo is going to need a special home, with gentle and understanding care and guidance.

Ollie hasn't had the best start to life, he has experienced neglect and left to figure out life on his own. He feels safe around his brother Arlo, but when on his own he is scared and lacks confidence. We have been working with him, taking it slow and showing him what life can be like with gentle love and guidance, and he's starting to figure out, that actually his future could be great!

Ollie, is learning to walk on lead and basic commands, and day by day his confidence is growing. 

He gets on well with other dogs, loves people, but we are unsure of how he gets on with cats. 

Ollie will need a special home. He needs someone who understands that his start to life wasn't easy and is prepared to take this slow with him. With gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, Ollie's confidence will continue to grow. He is such a sweet and special boy, we know his future is looking bright!

Dolly is a sweet 4.5 month old mixed breed puppy who is still learning about the big, wide world around her. Dolly can be quite shy and needs time, patience and understanding to feel safe and comfortable in new environments. Because she is still building her confidence, she is being slowly introduced to new environments and experiences at her own pace. She is also attending puppy school and working on building her confidence during visits to vet services.

Dolly gains confidence when she is around, confident, friendly dogs who can help show her the ropes and reassure her that the world isn't a scary place. Having a well adjusted canine companion may help her continue to blossom in her new home.

Dolly will need a patient, understanding owner who is willing to put time and effort into her training and confidence-building. She will need someone who understands that she can't be rushed and who is happy to let her explore at her own pace.

With the right guidance and a safe supportive home, Dolly has so much potential to grow into a confident and loving companion.

Note: Due to Dolly's current confidence levels, her meet and greet process may take a little longer than usual. Several visits and short home visits may be needed to help her become comfortable with her potential new family and surroundings. 

Hello Honey!! 

Ruahine Animal Rescue is looking for a loving home for this absolute sweetheart!

She is super, super cuddly and just wants to be wherever her people are. She is the kind of dog who is happiest simply being part of the family and getting plenty of love and attention. 

She has been hanging out beautifully with her foster family's orphan lambs and her two foster brother dogs, and she has been lovely with children. She would make a fantastic family dog or companion dog.

Gets along well with other dogs
Lovely with kids
Crate trained
Sits nicely and waits when being fed
Very affectionate and cuddly

She is inquisitive about cats, this is something her new family will need to keep up training with — she has been taught that cats are for sniffing politely. 

She is also a bit of a big sook when she is told no — she definitely lets you know that she isn't impressed!

Overall, she is just a beautiful, loving girl who wants to be with her people. She would suit a family looking for a loyal companion, or someone wanting a lovely dog who will happily spend her days by your side.
